For anyone, receiving a cancer diagnosis is a particularly dark experience. It was so for Me, and I took to painting to counter it.
As painting became increasingly important to Me, so did the need to appreciate in some tangible form the support I continue to receive from the Oncology Team at Bath's Royal United Hospital.
'The Spectre of Homer Simpson, Samurai' was inspired by my dark experience; my diagnosis, but it is overshadowed by colour, by humour, and by a zest for life, itself inspired by the team at the RUH
'The Spectre of Homer Simpson, Samurai' is my gift to them all.
