Acrylics on 40 x 30cm canvas board (50 x 40cm Framed)

I titled this piece ’Gordon’s Alive!?’ because the eerie, alien like skyscape reminded me of a scene in the movie, Flash Gordon (starring Sam Jones as Flash and Max von Sydow as Emperor Ming The Merciless).  In particular it made me think of the line bellowed by Brian Blessed as he leads the Hawkmen in the attack on Ming City. 

While the colour palette of the film featured much more red, I was aiming to capture more of an alien skyscape, hence the alternative title, 'Mongo Sunset'.
